The Role
We are currently seeking 30 experienced Mechanical Fitters for a one-day shutdown at a major steel plant in Rooty Hill. There will be ongoing shutdowns every 2–3 weeks, making this a great opportunity for reliable casual work.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical maintenance during planned shutdowns
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to schedule
- Adhere to all site safety protocols and requirements
- Work alongside a large team of trades in a heavy industrial environment
Requirements
- Relevant Trade Qualification (Mechanical Fitter)
- Previous experience in shutdowns or heavy industry preferred
- Construction White Card
- Own tools and full PPE
- Full work rights in Australia
What We Offer
- $50 per hour + penalties
- Next shutdown schedule: 1 day shutdown on Wednesday, 2 July 2025
- 6:00 AM start | 8–12 hour shift
- Ongoing shutdown work every 2–3 weeks
