Streeties is an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation that has been supporting Aboriginal children, youth and families in Geraldton for over three decades. Our current programs focus on encouraging young people and families to recognise and build on their existing strengths and connections within the community.
Are you ready to make a difference? We’re seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our friendly team. In this pivotal role, you’ll be the face of our organisation, creating a warm and welcoming environment for everyone who interacts with us.
Streeties is looking for a person to fill this fulltime role working 38 hours per week.
Although the details of the role are important, our priority is finding people who understand and are passionate about families experiencing Streeties’ values: love, dignity, autonomy and connectedness.
As a dedicated team member, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within Streeties.
Qualifications/Relevant experience
Demonstrate excellent people skills and telephone manner when answering enquiries.
Demonstrate an ability to engage with young people and families in a professional and compassionate manner.
Perform general administration tasks (handling mail, coordinating appointments, maintain email and IT filing systems).
Compile and record financial transactions and contribute to the tracking and management of program data where required.
Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar position.
Skills/Insight
Ability to work in a calm, compassionate and regulated way with families who may experience intense stress, trauma, loss, and dysregulation.
Capacity and willingness to maintain professional boundaries, ethical practice and confidentiality.
High level written and verbal communication skills.
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Ability to manage competing priorities whilst maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines
Humility and a desire to continually learn and grow.

You will carry out these responsibilities in accordance with Streeties’ policies and comply with requirements for satisfying Departmental Records Screening, obtaining a National Police Check and maintaining a Working with Children Check.
