Posted 9 days ago
What your day will look like….
You'll spend your time supporting individuals receiving mental health care by providing clear, empathetic guidance about their rights and options under the Act. You'll be a trusted contact for patients, families, carers and nominated support persons—helping them navigate complex systems, communicate their views, and prepare for important moments like Mental Health Review Tribunal hearings. Your role will also include meaningful collaboration with health professionals, guardians, and advocates to promote patient autonomy, dignity and wellbeing across the Darling Downs and South West regions. Every interaction you have will help create a more transparent, respectful and rights-focused mental health system.
Let's talk about you!
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can inspire the following:
- Compassion – you will engage with others and demonstrate empathy, care, kindness, support and understanding.
- Integrity – you are open, honest, approachable, equitable and consistent in everything we do.
- Dignity – you treat others with respect, display reasonableness and take pride in what you do.
- Innovation – you embrace change and strive to know more, learn more and do better.
- Courage – you respectfully question for clarity and have the strength and confidence to Speak Up.
