The Team: Based at the Launceston General Hospital, the Office of the Chief Executive Hospitals North (OCEHN) consists of a small team that manages the Office’s workflows and provides operational and strategic support to the Chief Executive Hospitals North.

The Role: Reporting to the Chief Executive Hospitals North, this position functions as a key operational liaison between Hospitals North and Infrastructure Services. The role will work consultatively and collaboratively with key stakeholders to plan, co-coordinate and deliver clinical service re-design and capital works projects that contribute to the strategic direction of the Department of Health.

You will need:

  • A strong background in clinical nursing practice and clinical service delivery.
  • High level analytical, conceptual, strategic, research and creative skills and the ability to understand the political, social and organisational environment.
  • Proven ability to apply sound project management methodology to meet agreed scope, time, cost and quality outcomes.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30 June 2028.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type

Salary Packaging:

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

Knowledge of and experience in:

  • Complex hospital/clinical environments
  • Clinical service re-design
  • Project management Change management
  • Microsoft Office applications or similar software
