About the Role:
Based in Perth on a permanent full-time basis, we are seeking a genuinely passionate and motivated Operations Manager to lead several of our northern Perth centres. Reporting to the State Manager of WA, you will join a team of collaborative and supportive Operations Managers across the state, working together to drive performance of each self-storage centre in your operational area.
This is a role that demands exceptional leadership - you will be responsible for managing and leading the human, physical, and financial resources of your centres on a day-to-day basis, ensuring consistent operational effectiveness and excellence across the board. Just as importantly, you will foster and nurture a safe, happy, and productive working environment, maintaining full compliance with company policies and procedures as you lead your teams to success.

Key responsibilities include:
- Lead, motivate and manage effective Centre teams to achieve optimal sales objectives, customer service levels and set business objectives
- Overall responsibility for achievement of financial budgets and profitability of all Centres in your operational area
- Ensure your Centres are achieving across financial performance metrics, including sales and KPI targets
- Provide coaching, guidance and feedback to continually develop Centre teams
- Oversee and ensure effective resourcing and recruitment of all Centre teams
- Provide accurate and timely reporting to Management on Centre activities and performance
- Ensure all Centres are compliant with Work Health & Safety regulations and requirements
About You:
- Strong leadership and people management skills and a strong understanding of how to build and maintain a great team culture
- Minimum 2 years’ demonstrated success in an Operational/Area Management role in a medium-large organisation or similar
- Previous experience in the recruitment and development of sales people
- Previous experience in the retail space is highly advantageous
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Ability to effectively coach and mentor team members, with a sound understanding of best practice performance management
- The ability to build trusting and authentic relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organisation
- High level of organisational skills with the ability to self-manage time and work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Ability to analyse complex financials and develop effective reports
- Ability to think analytically and develop effective strategies
- Willing to travel to centres in your operational area at minimum once per month.
- Based in northern Perth
- Good knowledge of Work Health & Safety regulations
