Position

This hands-on role will see you take full ownership of the Finance function as Senior Financial Accountant. Key responsibilities include:

Preparation of monthly financial reports, including variance analysis with clear and concise commentary.

Weekly revenue forecasting, debtor invoicing, payroll tax (NSW), and accounts payable processing.

Management of weekly contractor payroll and monthly staff payroll, including quarterly commissions and annual bonuses.

Oversight of debtors and collections, ensuring targets are consistently met.

Timely completion of statutory compliance requirements, including quarterly superannuation, GST, FBT, annual insurance and WorkCover obligations, labour-hire licences, year-end accounts, and company tax.

Weekly cashflow and working capital forecasting.

Participation in the annual budgeting process, with regular budget reporting and variance commentary.

Ongoing cost monitoring to ensure alignment with approved budgets.

Profile

We’re seeking a finance professional with proven experience in a fast-paced, hands-on commercial environment.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

CA or CPA qualification (mandatory).

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.

Proficiency in Xero and advanced Excel. Experience with Astute (payroll) and Bullhorn (CRM) is highly regarded.

A process-oriented mindset—capable of following established systems and identifying areas for improvement.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

A positive, proactive, and collaborative approach to work.

Benefits

7-month fixed-term contract

$125,000 + superannuation (pro rata)
