About the role
Join the dedicated team at Better Together Community Support as a Home Maintenance Officer and deliver high-quality in-home maintenance support services to elderly clients in the local community.
Expressions of interest are invited. This role will commence as Casual and may lead to Permanent Part-time. Please include information in your application on your availability i.e. how many hours or days work per week you are seeking.
What you'll be doing
Carry out client-related home handyman, heavy cleaning, and gardening work. This may include lawn mowing, whipper snipping, gurneying, cleaning gutters.
Utilise Nightingale app and roster prepared to carry out work in the field.
Liaise closely with the Coordinator – Home Support and Home Support Administration Officer.
Manage your time and ensure work is done to meet safety and client satisfaction.
Provide support for clients, ensuring they feel safe, explaining how our service works and what services they can expect to receive.
What we're looking for
Prior experience in the garden maintenance industry
Driver’s License
Police Check and ‘Working with Children Blue Card’ are required prior to commencement.
First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain.
Working at Heights Certificate, or willingness to obtain.
Smart phone to be used for capturing data via an app and work purposes.
Desirable:
Comprehensively insured personal vehicle (tray top/utility with tow ball capable of towing) which can be used for work purposes.
