Operational Technology Solutions (OTS) is seeking an OMS Configuration & Testing Support Engineer with at least 3 years’ working experience for a long-term project in the electricity distribution domain.

Applicants must reside in Australia, strong preference from Melbourne.

You must have the following:
Experience with Distribution Management System (DMS), Outage Management System (OMS)

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and manage master OMS configuration spreadsheets.

Apply configuration changes to development and test environments in a controlled, auditable manner.

Document OMS configuration decisions and rationales.

Develop and maintain Perl/Python scripts to address product gaps and automate workflows (e.g. orphaned AMI trouble call cleanup).

Coordinate with business SMEs on technical testing activities for end-to-end OMS validation.

Support integration teams with correct use of OMS interfaces (e.g. SOAP calls for trouble calls, field work updates, AMI interactions).

Assist with configuration of backdrop layers and GIS integration.

Provide structured support to the control room for validation of schematic and geographic displays, including tracking progress and scheduling.

Highly Desirable

Strong attention to detail and disciplined change management.

Proficiency in scripting (Perl/Python) and understanding of SOAP/XML interfaces.

Experience with ADMS/OMS platforms (preferably GE PowerOn Advantage).

Familiarity with utility network models and field operations.

Ability to work collaboratively with technical and business stakeholders.

Education /Qualifications:

Degree qualification in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering
