Our client is a strong market leader within their industry, proudly operating throughout the Hunter Region providing safe, efficient and sustainable high quality products and services to both residential and commercial markets.

Due to growth, we are searching for a highly organised and self motivated Electrician to join their team. As an Electrician, you will ensure high-quality and compliant electrical and solar installations. You will manage projects efficiently, enhance safety practices, and improve business systems. You will also mentor apprentices, support team members, and promote our core values. Your role includes maintaining accurate records, managing inventory, and ensuring effective communication with customers and staff. You will work closely with the Site Supervisor and/or Field Coordinator to ensure cost-effective methods are implemented, ensuring timely completion of projects and within budget targets.

This is a permanent full-time position and trade hours are from 7.00 am to 3.30 pm Monday to Friday, with a monthly RDO.

The role:

• General electrical works (residential and commercial), including but not limited to; house rewires, earthing, consumer mains, metering, lighting, ceiling fans, TVs, data points, home audio.
• Carry out installation of solar/battery PV systems, including electrical wiring, mounting of inverters and panels, testing, installation of main switches (residential & commercial) including inspection and sign off.
• Diagnose and repair solar system/battery issues, including managing warranty claims for faulty components.
• Perform routine maintenance on solar PV systems, including panel clean and managing warranty issues.
• Install and commission off-grid solar systems, ensuring compliance with AS/NZS 4509 (sign-off applicable to Accredited Installers only).
• Perform and supervise the installation and configuration of grid protection systems for large-scale projects, such as lifestyle villages.
• Ensure compliance and all safety procedures are followed and adhered to.
• Fault finding & diagnosis of electrical faults, providing solutions.

• Manage timelines and budgets to ensure all jobs are completed on time and within budget.
• Perform debriefs for each job/project to drive process improvements.
• Manage inventory, ensuring necessary materials and tools are available for each job ahead of time.
• Communicate effectively with customers and project managers to ensure clarity and satisfaction with project outcomes.

What we’re looking for:

• Current NSW Electrical Contractor, Supervisors Licence or Provisional License
• Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) Certified
• Grid Connected Solar PV Design/Install Accreditation
• Solar Battery Storage Design and Install Accreditation (desirable or training to be provided)
• NSW Manual Driver's License
• Working knowledge of AS3000 Standards and applicable Solar/Battery/Off Grid Standards
• Working at Heights

• General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Min. 3 years relevant work experience within solar, battery and electrical industry
• Demonstrated experience in managing major electrical and solar projects
• Ability to efficiently manage job/project timelines, budgets, and resources
• Competence in documentation, reporting, and compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong organisational skills for managing multiple tasks and priorities
• Excellent attention to detail and high standards of workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
