About Us
EVOL LNG is a leader in LNG distribution, supplying gas to remote power stations and industrial customers across Western Australia. Our business relies on a growing fleet of over 50 LNG road tankers and on-site LNG storage and vaporisation facilities.
As part of OCTA’s Downstream LNG business, we are committed to delivering safe, reliable, and efficient LNG supply. We are now looking for an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to ensure our critical assets perform at their best.
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join our maintenance team. Based at our Kwinana Maintenance Facility, you’ll play a hands-on role maintaining electrical and instrumentation systems on our remote storage regasification facilities and supporting LNG assets.
From fault finding and calibrations to hazardous area inspections and commissioning support, you’ll contribute to asset reliability and ensure our compliance with regulatory standards. You’ll work closely with our field service and engineering teams, supporting both planned and reactive maintenance activities.
This role includes participation in an on-call roster and regular travel to regional customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on E&I systems at fixed and mobile LNG assets
- Conduct hazardous area inspections and ensure compliance with AS/NZS 60079
- Diagnose and repair instrumentation, control systems and electrical equipment
- Support installation and commissioning of new LNG facilities and upgrades
- Contribute to root cause investigations and continuous improvement efforts
- Complete work orders, inspections and reporting in our CMMS (MEX)
- Engage safely under our Permit to Work and risk assessment systems
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
- WA “A” Grade Electrical Licence
- Cert IV in Instrumentation and Cert IV in EEHA (within last 3 years)
- Valid WA Driver’s Licence
- Minimum 3 years of experience in gas, oil, mining or process industries
- Strong troubleshooting skills with PLC/SCADA knowledge (Schneider, Siemens or similar)
- A strong safety focus and the ability to work independently
- Willingness to travel and participate in after-hours call-outs
🛠 Experience with CMMS (MEX), LNG, cryogenic, or regulated equipment maintenance will be well regarded.
