Job Title: Principal Electrical Engineer - HV Transmission Lines

Salary: $180,000 - $200,000 (Up to $225,000 All-Inclusive in Perth)

About the Role:

We are seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer with deep expertise in high voltage (HV) transmission lines to join a leading engineering consultancy on a permanent, full-time basis. This role can be based in either Perth or Adelaide, offering flexible work arrangements and leadership opportunities across major energy infrastructure projects.

This is a key technical leadership position that will see you working on Transmission Line Design (132kV - 500kV) for both new builds and upgrades across utility and renewable energy sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and deliver concept, detailed, and construction designs for HV overhead transmission lines

Provide technical oversight, peer reviews, and design assurance

Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders including utilities, developers, and contractors

Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on industry standards and best practices

Contribute to bid preparation, proposals, and project scoping activities

Ensure compliance with relevant Australian standards, codes, and safety requirements

About You:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

Minimum 10 years' experience in HV transmission line design

Strong background in 132kV, 220kV, 330kV or 500kV line design

Proficient with Power Line Systems (PLS-CADD) and other relevant software

Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or eligibility for chartership

Strong communication and leadership skills
