Your new role
We're seeking a detail-driven and commercially astute Contract Specialist to play a pivotal role in the end-to-end establishment of contracts for both major and minor construction projects, as well as critical equipment procurements. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to impactful infrastructure and service outcomes while working closely with project managers, operational stakeholders, and supplier partners.

• Lead and coordinate the full lifecycle of contract formation for works and equipment packages, ensuring compliance and value delivery
• Collaborate on the development of evaluation plans, tender documentation, and bid management activities
• Facilitate bidder engagements, including briefings, clarification sessions, and information exchange
• Oversee the evaluation phase by conducting compliance checks, supporting commercial assessments, and enabling consensus-based selection
• Assist in negotiation processes spanning commercial, legal, and technical domains
• Manage contract drafting through to award, ensuring alignment with governance frameworks
• Promote best practice procurement and uphold organisational commitments

You're a trusted advisor with a keen eye for detail and a knack for bringing structure to complexity. You build strong relationships with vendors and stakeholders alike, and you bring a professional curiosity that helps spot opportunities for better procurement outcomes.

• Proven experience in contracts establishment for capital works or project-based procurement
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and supplier relationship skills
• Strong written communication skills and meticulous attention to documentation detail
• A degree in Commerce, Law, Engineering, Supply Chain or a related discipline
• Solid understanding of commercial and contract law principles
• Familiarity with Western Australia Public Sector procurement frameworks is highly desirable
