Skilled Trades Assistant - Heavy Vehicle Drivers Licence Required!

About the Role

You’ll work closely with qualified Lineworkers in the field, assisting with the construction and maintenance of overhead and underground electrical infrastructure. In addition to supporting day-to-day trade activities, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy vehicles to transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from various job locations.

Key duties include:

Assist tradespeople with construction and maintenance of electrical infrastructure

Drive heavy vehicles transporting materials and equipment

Prepare job sites for safe and efficient work

Use hand and power tools as required

Uphold strict workplace health and safety standards

What We’re Looking For (Essential Criteria)

Valid Heavy Vehicle Licence (MR/HC) with driving experience

White Card (WHS General Construction Induction)

Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail

Flexibility to work night shifts and weekends as needed

What Will Make You Stand Out (Desirable Criteria)

Experience working on Ausgrid and/or Endeavour Energy networks

High-Risk Work Licences (Crane, Dogging, Rigging, Elevated Work Platform)

ASP Rescue Training, including:

UETDRMP004 - Perform elevated work platform controlled descent escape

UETDRMP005 - Perform elevated work platform rescue

UETDRMP006 - Perform pole top rescue

UETDRMP007 - Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel

UETDRMP010 - Provide first aid in an ESI environment

UETDREL006 - Work safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus as a non electrical worker

HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
