We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Programs Manager to lead the clinical and operational management of services within the Violence Abuse and Neglect (VAN) portfolio. This key leadership role will oversee a multidisciplinary team delivering critical services that address sexual harm, family violence, child protection, and interagency response programs across the district.
The role is suitable for the following:
Nurse Manager Grade 2
Occupational Therapist Level 5
Senior Psychologist
Social Worker Level 5
Program Streams under VAN include:
Sexual Harm and Safety Services: Sexual Assault, New Street, and Safe Wayz (addressing problematic and harmful sexual behaviours in children).
Family Services: Child Protection Counselling Services and the Whole Family Team.
Education and Partnership Services: Joint Child Protection Response Program (JCPRP), Central Coast Multi-Agency Response Centre (CCMARC), Domestic and Family Violence Services, and Information Exchange.
Workforce Development: Coordination and delivery of mandatory and specialised VAN training across the District.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic and clinical leadership across multiple program streams within the VAN portfolio.
Support and guide multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, trauma-informed, and culturally safe care.
Lead staff management, development, and performance, fostering a high-performing and purpose-driven workforce.
Facilitate collaboration with health services, emergency departments, and external agencies to ensure continuity of care and streamlined service pathways.
Contribute to clinical governance of the after-hours response to VAN presentations in Wyong and Gosford Hospital Emergency Departments.

About You:
A tertiary degree and full registration with AHPRA or relevant professional body as a Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse or Registered Senior Psychologist
Extensive leadership experience in managing complex, multidisciplinary health or community services.
Deep understanding of trauma-informed care, child protection, sexual assault, and family violence service delivery.
Strong stakeholder engagement and interagency collaboration skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage performance, and develop staff capability.
Proven ability to align services with state frameworks, policies, and emerging best practices.
