Position Overview

We’re seeking more than a Qualified Auto Mechanic, 50% of the role is mechanical so you will need hands-on experience and expertise in vehicle diagnostics, servicing. The other 50% of the role is related to the mechanical components of 4WD accessory fitting. For example, installation of suspension, wheel alignments, removal of drive shafts, diffs etc to prepare for modifications and at times be another set of hands for helping with bulky accessories to be fitted to vehicles. The candidate will be a self starter and conscious of their own time management.

Responsibilities

- Conduct servicing and repairs on most makes and models, with a focus on the Nissan Patrol Y62.

- Perform transmission servicing and thorough inspections to identify vehicle issues.

- Install and fit a range of 4WD accessories, including suspensions, brakes, exhausts, long-range tanks, and more.

- Diagnose vehicle issues with accuracy and efficiency.

- Test drive vehicles to ensure service quality and identify any additional needs.

Essential requirements

Current WA Mechanical Repairers Licence

Own hand tools (specialty tools will be supplied)

Minimum 4 years working in the industry as a qualified mechanic

Basic knowledge of automotive electrical

A "can do" attitude
