Due to growth and development, our client, an established construction contractor in Geraldton, is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to make a significant impact in a very established, respected organization that continues to grow.
Reporting to the Managing Director you will play a key role in streamlining HR processes and ensuring the company is fully compliant with any employment related legislation. This role will suit an experienced HR professional who brings solid business acumen to a busy industrial workforce with multiple business streams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage end-to-end HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, performance support, employee relations, documentation, and offboarding
• Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation
• Interpret and advise on Awards, Industrial Agreements, policies, and procedures
• Stay current with ER Laws, awards, pay rates, and contracts
• Assist in developing position descriptions and classifications
• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding processes to ensure a seamless candidate experience
• Foster a positive workplace environment through open communication and collaboration
• Mediate workplace disputes and conflicts, ensuring fair and equitable solutions
• Facilitate employee relations matters including investigations and disciplinary actions
• Support the company in maintaining ISO 14001:2015, ISO 9001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 standards
• Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) and environmental policies
The Ideal Candidate:
• Proven experience in a similar HR role, preferably 5+ years
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and HR best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability in conflict resolution and team building
• High level of discretion and confidentiality
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office suite
Qualifications:
• Certificate IV in Human Resource Management
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related field
