We are looking for Cablers (Data and Telecommunications) to join our WA team.

About the Role:

Your responsibilities will include:
·Attaching wires and cables to appliances.

· Installing cabling for telephone, radio, pay TV, and computer transmission.

· Installing telecommunications equipment and appliances such as telephones, switchboards, and data transmission equipment.

· Joining cables and sealing sheaths with lead and thermoplastic.

· Preparing, handling, maintaining hygiene, and terminating ribbon and multi-core fibre for fibre installation.

· Integrating FTTN, FTTB, and FTTC equipment.

·Locating faults in telecommunications equipment using instruments such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, ammeters, and transmission measuring equipment.

· Adjusting, replacing, and repairing faulty items, and testing equipment using electronic instruments.

· Erecting, testing, and maintaining aerial and underground wires and cables, and radio and mobile phone antennae.

· Conducting safety and quality inspections and reporting non-conformances.

· Examining drawings, specifications, and work areas to determine positioning and connections for equipment being installed.

Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, you must possess the following skills and experience:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in cabling and troubleshooting on a major telecommunications network

NBN Enable qualification (required)

Valid First Aid & CPR certification (required)

Construction Induction Card (White Card) (required)

Relevant cabling and testing certifications (required)

Traffic Management Card (Yellow Card) (preferred)

Confined Space and Gas Detection certification (preferred)

Working at Heights certification (preferred)

Strong understanding of telecommunications networks

Demonstrated "can-do" attitude and proactive approach

Valid Australian C Class Driver’s Licence (required)

Police Check issued within the last 6 months, with no convictions (required)

Willingness to receive annual Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations (required for work in Aged Care sector)
