About the business
Children at Bay Terrace non-for-profit community-run long daycare and Kindergarten. Children at Bay Terrace is a small three-room service 200 metres from the Wynnum Esplanade. Our service is licensed to care for 48 children per day aged 15 months to School Age. Children at Bay Terrace has operated in the Wynnum community for over 40 years.
As our service is small, it offers opportunities to join a community that truly values your input. Our relaxed atmosphere offers a unique setting that provides opportunities for children to explore, investigate and create quality learning experiences. About the role
Key Responsibilities:
Work a set shift as educator Monday to Friday.
This role is 4-5 days, up to 37 1/2 hours, to be negotiated with the right candidate.
This is a permanent part-time role.
Support to ensure the implementation of an appropriate educational curriculum and program per the National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework.
Comply with Service policies and procedures.
Complete routine-based tasks such as mealtimes, nappy changes, cleaning tasks, etc.
Work across teams and age groups.
Encourage children to achieve their full potential through holistic learning.
Support the vision, purpose, and values of Children at Bay Terrace.
Participate in professional development, meetings, and community-based programs.

Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
Have or be actively studying a Certificate 3 or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (Or similar qualification as recognised by ACECQA).
Be effective with time management.
Have strong communication skills
Work effectively in a team environment.
Engage in respectful and meaningful interactions with children, families, and community members.
Have a positive attitude
Be passionate about early childhood education and care.
