An exciting leadership opportunity is available at a well-established private hospital in Melbournes north-west. We are seeking a committed and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to lead the Emergency Department and deliver high-quality, patient-centred care in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

About the Role

As the NUM of our Emergency Department, you will lead clinical operations, support and mentor staff, manage resources efficiently, and ensure the delivery of safe, evidence-based care. Youll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patients receive exceptional care throughout their ED experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide operational and clinical leadership within the Emergency Department
• Oversee staffing, resource planning, and departmental workflow
• Mentor and support your team to deliver best-practice care
• Ensure compliance with ACQSHC National Standards
• Undertake direct patient care where required

About You

• Current registration with AHPRA
• Post-graduate qualification in critical care
• Previous experience in a NUM or senior ED leadership role
• Demonstrated HR and operational management experience
• Excellent communication and team-building skills
• Working with Children Check
• A management degree or working towards one (desirable)
• Strong computer literacy
