About the role
Be a part of our dedicated Multidisciplinary Allied Health team
Our Graduate Occupational Therapist role is structured to offer exposure to a wide range of clinical settings, professional development support s, and training through a supported induction process. We will provide you with a onsite supervisor to support your journey and a genuine caring management team.
You will gain experience in various adult cohorts including aged care and disability services. The role is based in our modern well equipped therapy centres with access to a support staff, a multidisciplinary team and senior staff. We provide our therapy in a range of settings, in our centres, in our care facilities and in the community.
You will work closely with senior practitioners and develop skills necessary for long-term success in the healthcare industry with graduate specific support .
We have a team of over 90 staff across both campuses in Sinnamon Park and Chermside. Our team includes Physiotherapists, Dietetics, Podiatry, Exercise Physiologist, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Nursing and more!
Key Role Accountabilities:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide customer- focused services including:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial functioning to identify their needs and goals
Develop individualised treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices and client-centred approaches
Provide interventions that promote independence, safety, and participation in daily activities, including self-care, productivity, and leisure
Recommend and implement environmental modifications, adaptive equipment, and assistive technology to enhance clients' functional abilities
Collaborate with clients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic care
Provide education and training to clients, families, and caregivers on topics such as fall prevention, energy conservation, and stress management
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress notes
Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and professional development activities to enhance service delivery and clinical skills

Current registration with APHRA
Current Driver’s Licence
Demonstrated ability to effectively work with staff, clients, and families
Exceptional communication skills and a focus on patient-centred care
Willingness to travel between both campuses in Sinnamon Park and Chermside
