Meeting and greeting individual restaurant guests - a key personality of our client experience

Explaining menu items, specials, and wine options to customers.

Serving food and beverages promptly and professionally.

Addressing customer questions, complaints, or feedback with care.

Work well within a diversely skilled team environment - cellar door and winery teams

About the business

Dominique Portet is a family owned winery with French heritage located in the picturesque Yarra Valley, and comprises of ten generations of winemakers. We recently won the award for Gourmet Traveller Cellar Door Awards for ‘Best Cellar Door’ in the Yarra Valley. We are a diverse and passionate bunch who truly care about our customers and our award-winning wine.

Please note we are 50minutes from CBD and do not open in the evenings.

Desired Experience and Availability

Hospitality excellence with opening and closing procedures, including restocking and cleaning

Strong collaboration experience co-ordinating with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely service

Key Open are Thursday to Sunday (approx. 25-30 hours a week) plus supporting winery events such as weddings, private tastings, or seasonal celebrations.

Requirements

It would be advantageous to hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate (RSA) and have a Victorian Drivers licence, and of course working rights in Australia.
