Our client is a respected commercial construction and fit-out specialist, recognized for delivering high-quality office fit-outs, building upgrades, and heritage restorations across Melbourne and Brisbane (projects ranging from $1M to $7M).
They are seeking an experienced commercial construction Site Manager with strong fit-out project expertise to join their team.

About the Role:

This is a hands-on, fully on-site Site Manager role, leading commercial office fit-outs, building upgrades, and refurbishments valued between $1M and $7M. You will be responsible for end-to-end site delivery, managing all aspects of site operations, while being supported by Project Management and Admin teams.

Role Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in site management or supervision (commercial fit outs/refurbishments a must)
• Proven ability to independently run full-site delivery, fit-outs, structural upgrades, refurbishments
• Skilled in understanding programs, sequencing, subcontractor coordination
• Strong problem-solving and communication capabilities
• Trade background or construction management qualification is highly regarded
• Certifications: White Card, First Aid, Police Check, Working with Children, plus site tickets (e.g., EWP, Working at Heights)
• Comfortable using Procore (preferred) or similar construction software

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day to day operations of $1–7M commercial fit-out, refurbishment, and upgrade projects from start to finish
• Establish the site setup including WHS procedures, subcontractor inductions, and ITP requirement and maintain ongoing safety compliance
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and suppliers to ensure programs are followed and work is completed on time and within budget
• Read and interpret construction drawings, consultant reports, programs, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) to guide site delivery and quality control
• Proactively identify, resolve, and escalate on-site issues, ensuring minimal disruption and maintaining project momentum
• Prepare and track short range site schedules and program milestones to meet delivery targets
• Conduct regular inspections to enforce safety standards, quality workmanship, and adherence to compliance regulations
• Provide clear communication and updates to clients, consultants, site team, and head office on site progress, issues, and project milestones
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, quality checks, program updates, and budget tracking
• Foster a high-performance team environment by coaching, mentoring, and supporting on-site staff through hands-on leadership
