About the Role

We are seeking Certificate III qualified staff with great availability to join our Support Worker team and provide excellent home-based care to our clients across Brisbane's northern suburbs.

We are currently looking for Part Time Support Workers with the following availability - Inner city, Northern suburbs, Chermside and surrounding areas. Mon - Fri between 7 am - 6 pm.

We provide our successful applicants with a one-day paid induction and three buddy shifts to ensure you are supported while you transition into your new role!

Successful candidates will have experience and skills in supporting client health and hygiene needs, individual support, in-home respite, domestic housekeeping duties and support to help them achieve their goals.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum Cert III in Individual Support or Aged Care (or equivalent)
  • Reliable motor vehicle (less than 15 years old and including registration and insurance)
  • Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel across Brisbane's Northern suburbs
  • Confident computer/technology skills (using mobile phone app to review timesheets, write progress notes and more)
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certificate
  • National Police Check (or willingness to obtain with our financial support if successful)
  • Assist Clients with Medication certification will be highly regarded.

About Burnie Brae

The Burnie Brae Centre is a Not-for-Profit Incorporated Organisation which opened in Chermside in March, 1984.

The Centre offers a wide range of social, educational and recreational activities to over 50’s with two membership options currently set at $5.00 and $20.00 per year plus a $5.00 Joining Fee. Additionally, the organisation auspices a range of government funded community services for seniors, frail aged persons and younger people with disabilities managed by a team of dedicated professionals striving to provide the highest possible standard of service to clients and their families.

Office Hours are 8.00am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday each week and the Centre is also open at other times for activities and functions.
