About the Role:

You’ll play a key role in providing end-to-end accounting support for a range of small to medium business clients. This is a hands-on, diverse role suited to someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and client interaction.

Your responsibilities will include

Preparing accurate and compliant tax returns

Monthly and balance sheet reconciliations

Managing accounts payable, receivable & general ledger

Assisting with month-end close, accruals & journals

Ensuring compliance with accounting standards

BAS preparation, payroll, and fixed asset management

Management reporting, financial forecasts, and budgeting

Bank and credit card reconciliations

Identifying and resolving financial discrepancies

Supporting audit and ad hoc financial tasks

About You:

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance

CPA or CA qualification (or currently completing)

2–5+ years’ experience in public practice (SME focus preferred)

Strong MYOB or Xero knowledge

Bookkeeping experience and confidence with AI tools in accounting

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills

A collaborative mindset and strong client service orientation
