ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Project Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, quantity take-offs, supporting tender evaluations, assisting in budgeting, supporting procurement planning and Coordination with HQ authorities. The estimator ensures that project decisions are made based on sound cost data and supports commercial functions through the overall project construction.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Deliver accurate cost estimates and feasibility data for various stages of project planning

Provide cost intelligence to support project scheduling, budgeting, and tendering

Interface with engineering and construction teams to ensure accurate quantity take-offs

Help identify value engineering opportunities and cost risks early

Support procurement with market benchmarking and scope alignment

Provide and clarify the quantity take-offs, budget and schedule required by HQ authorities

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity surveying, Construction management, Engineering, or equivalent

Estimating certification (AIQS, AACE, or equivalent)

Valid WA C-Class driver’s license

3+ years in estimating roles within construction, mining, or infrastructure sectors

Experience with mining/process infrastructure or NPI projects preferred

Strong understanding of Australian Standards and cost estimation methodologies

Advanced Excel and estimation software skills (e.g., CostX, Expert Estimation)

Understanding and compliance with WHS Act 2020 and mine safety regulations
