The Role:

• Position: English & EAL Teacher
• Location: Western Suburbs of Melbourne
• Commencement: Term 3
• Contract Type: Full-time - Until the end of the year - Potential to become permanent for the right applicant

What You'll Do:

• Deliver engaging and differentiated English and EAL lessons across secondary year levels
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment
• Collaborate with a passionate team of educators committed to student success
• Use data and formative assessments to support EAL learners in their language development journey
• Support literacy improvement and academic English skills for students from non-English speaking backgrounds

You Will Need:

• Current VIT registration (or eligibility)
• Relevant teaching qualifications (4-year tertiary degree including teaching)
• Experience or passion for working with EAL/D students
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• A strong commitment to student wellbeing and achievement
