Qualifications & experience

Post-secondary education and/or experience in business, hospitality, or venue management

At least 2 years' experience in a leadership role

Experience in training, compliance and performance management of employees

Driver License

Willing to apply or currently hold blue card and first aid

Experienced in building and leading a team of up to 40 junior and senior casual staff

Tasks & responsibilities

Upholding the values and leading by example, and supporting all positions under their supervision to understand and embrace the values of the organization

Contribute and remain compliant to processes and policies that embed the values of the organization, supporting the promotion and application of those policies and processes

Lead and manage daily operations of the business, providing support to our other sites when required (Boondall or Acacia Ridge). This will require close collaboration with the maintenance and senior management team to ensure smooth delivery of the rink schedule, events and ice management tasks.

Provide a high level of respectful, approachable and fun approach to customer service in all areas of the facility

Provide proactive, inclusive, and appropriate supervision to all staff under your supervision, supporting them to execute their delegated tasks safely, effectively, and efficiently

Ensure the organization and venues maintain compliance with relevant licensing and permits for general operations and major local, state and national events, including liquor licensing, food safety and emergency procedures

This is a leadership position and requires the individual to be a role model for leadership and professionalism, ensuring all staff perceive you as approachable, considerate, and fair

Ensure that established key relationships are developed and enhanced.
