About the role
TAFE Gippsland is seeking a dedicated and experienced industry professional with expertise in high-risk work to join our team as a Teacher High Risk & Civil. Based in our picturesque Gippsland region, approximately one from Pakenham, this role is ideal for someone passionate about sharing their knowledge and helping others build practical skills for the workforce.
As a Teacher High Risk & Civil, you will:
Deliver engaging and hands on training in simulated workplace environments
Share your specialist knowledge and industry experience with a diverse range of learners
Ensure ongoing compliance with relevant licensing and regulatory requirements
We welcome applications from individuals who may not yet hold the minimum teaching qualification but possess significant industry experience and current high-risk licenses.
Qualifications and experience
Certificate IV Training and Assessment TAE40122 or equivalent (if not held on commencement, qualification must be completed within agreed timeframe. Sponsorship will be provided for all associated costs);
Vocational competence and industry experience in high risk work;
Ideally hold any of the following High Risk Work Licences with two years of vocational currency:
o Construction Induction Card
o Elevated Work Platform (Boom length 11 metres or more)
o Forklift Licence
o Scaffolding (up to Advanced) (desirable)
o Dogging (desirable)
o Rigging (up to intermediate) (desirable)
o C6 Crane Licence (desirable)
Mandatory requirements
· Current Victorian Working with Children Clearance
· Current Police Check (not older than 12 months old)
· Current Driver’s License (some travel between campuses is a requirement of the role)
