A well established and family owned builder is seeking a talented individual with 3 to 7 years of experience to join their dynamic team in Brisbane.

The Opportunity:
As a Contract Administrator within their Building Division, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of diverse projects, ranging in value from $20 million to $90 million. You will be involved in significant builds across the education, aged care, and industrial sectors, contributing to impactful infrastructure that shapes communities.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be embedded with the project team, bridging the gap between office and site, and ensuring the smooth financial and contractual flow of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and administer head contracts, subcontracts, and supplier agreements, ensuring compliance with company standards and legal requirements.
- Cost Control & Financial Management: Establish and maintain accurate cost control systems, including project budgeting, forecasting, and managing payments to subcontractors and suppliers.
- Variations & Claims: Prepare, track, and value variations, extensions of time (EOTs), and progress claims, ensuring all documentation is accurate and agreed upon.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify and assess potential commercial and contractual risks, providing guidance and support to the project team on mitigation strategies.
- Stakeholder Communication: Liaise effectively with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and adherence to contractual terms.
- Document Control: Maintain comprehensive and audit-ready records of all contractual documents, correspondence, and registers.
- Compliance: Ensure all contractual documents and project activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Skills & Experience:
- 3 to 7 years of experience as a Contract Administrator in the Australian building construction industry.
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience working on projects ranging from $20 million to $90 million, ideally within the education, aged care, or industrial sectors.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Jobpac, Procore) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal), negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
