Wholesale Food and Deliveries Representative
We are excited to offer an (initially) casual position, approximately 12 - 15 hours a week, to a candidate who is passionate about quality food, particularly gyoza dumplings! Your role will play a crucial part in expanding our growing customer base of hospitality venues in the vibrant Newcastle / Hunter Region. Job Summary:
As a Food Sales Specialist , you will engage and foster relationships with customers to promote and sell our locally hand-made, high-quality dumplings.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Visit potential customers' venues and showcase our delectable dumplings, aiming to convert them into regular customers.
Cook and serve dumpling samples while effectively communicating their unique benefits.
Deliver orders promptly, ensuring exceptional service to existing customers.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers to foster loyalty and satisfaction.
Daily Tasks:
Your daily tasks will encompass the following:
Contact local Newcastle / Hunter businesses to promote our wholesale products and raise brand awareness in the area.
Conduct engaging demonstrations at potential customers' venues, skilfully preparing and serving our delicious dumplings while highlighting their exceptional qualities.
Manage order processing, including loading vehicle from the warehouse, updating stock quantities, and delivering orders using a utility/van (manual transmission).
Actively contribute to the growth of sales within the region, occasionally requiring travel of up to an hour from Newcastle (vehicle provided).
Utilise various channels, such as social media, email marketing, and community events, to communicate our brand story, values, and the uniqueness of our locally-made, high-quality dumplings.
Work Schedule:
You will be required to work on Tuesdays (essential), with flexibility for additional shifts on Wednesdays and/or Thursdays based on your availability. Initially, a minimum of 12 hours per week will be allocated, with the potential for more hours as you expand and manage your customer portfolio.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
While not essential, the following skills and experience are desirable:
Experience working in a commercial kitchen, showcasing your culinary expertise.
Previous wholesale or sales experience in the food and/or retail industry, demonstrating your ability to drive business growth.
Proven record of working independently with excellent self-management abilities.
Willingness to uphold administrative processes to ensure smooth operations.
