About the role

IFTAR is seeking an experienced Barista to join our team at our café in Merrylands, NSW. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits. As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing a high level of customer service and crafting exceptional coffee beverages for our valued patrons.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and serving a wide variety of coffee drinks, including espresso-based beveragesand specialty drinks
• Ensuring consistent quality and presentation of all coffee products
• Maintaining a clean and well-organised work station
• Advising customers on coffee options and making recommendations based on their preferences
• Assisting with inventory management and stock replenishment
• Adhering to all food safety and health regulations
• Providing excellent customer service and a positive dining experience

What we're looking for

• At least 2 years of experience as a Barista in a café or restaurant setting
• Demonstrated expertise in operating coffee machines and preparing a variety of coffee drinks
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to provide a friendly and welcoming experience
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of coffee bean varieties, roasting techniques, and brewing methods
• Enthusiasm for the hospitality industry and a passion for creating exceptional coffee experiences
