About the role

This full-time Barista role at a high volume cafe in Newcastle NSW. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team in the hospitality industry. As a Barista, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and serving high-quality coffee at speed.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and serving a variety of speciality coffee

Ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the coffee station, including maintaining equipment, stock control and cash handling

Providing excellent customer service by engaging with customers, understanding their preferences and remembering orders

Adhering to health, safety and hygiene standards at all times

Contributing to a positive team environment and assisting colleagues as needed

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Barista, preferably in a fast-paced cafe or restaurant environment

Excellent knowledge of coffee

Strong customer service skills and the ability to provide a friendly and efficient service whilst making coffee at high volumes

Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation

Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
