Placement Worker | Foster and Kinship | South East Qld
Employment Term: Full-time, 6 month maximum term
Location: Primarily based at Underwood/Southport with outreach across the Redlands, Logan and Gold coast areas. Access to a pool car provided.
Remuneration: $97k + 12% super + $15,900 NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)

Your part in our UnitingCare team
We are seeking to attract a motivated individual, who is a team player to join our South East Foster and Kinship Care team as a Placement Worker. This is a rewarding and challenging role where you will have a significant opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of children, young people, carers and families.
The primary purpose of this position is to:
assist with the on-boarding of new carers, via responding to expressions of Interest
conducting home visits with potential applicants, and facilitating their training and assessment towards becoming approved carers.
assisting with intake/referrals, and the matching of children to carer households.
provide support and case management to Foster and Kinship Carers and the children and young people in their care.
What makes a difference for us?
Experience in Child Protection and delivering Foster and Kinship Care services to children and families.
Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Social Work, Psychology or Social Science)
Current drivers’ licence.
A current Blue Card or willingness to make an application for one
Must also be willing to undergo a personal history checks under the provision of the Child Protection Act 1999 in relation to Licensing of Care Services
Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training is desirable.
