Herd Improvement Co-Operative Australia Ltd (Hico) is on the lookout for a reliable, motivated, and people-focused individual to join our team as a Sampling Officer, based in Korumburra.

If you enjoy early mornings, working with animals, being out on farms, and helping improve dairy herd performance, this could be the perfect role for you!

What You’ll Do

As a Sampling Officer, you’ll be the face of Hico on-farm, playing a vital role in delivering our herd testing services. Your typical day will include:

• Delivering and setting up herd test equipment

• Assisting farmers with the milk sampling process

• Ensuring accurate and efficient collection of data

• Building great relationships with our valued farmers

You’ll receive full training before working independently, with ongoing support from a passionate and experienced team.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• Availability for early mornings and late afternoons

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to build strong relationships with farmers and colleagues

• Basic computer literacy

• Great time management and attention to detail

• A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a proactive approach

• A team player mindset who takes pride in their work

Bonus: Knowledge or experience in the dairy industry is a big plus!
