Sealasash is a specialist business focused on restoring and upgrading timber windows and doors through draught/acoustic sealing, glazing, and precision timber repairs.

We’re currently hiring a Skilled Bench Joiner/Carpenter/ with at least 4+ years of hands-on experience in traditional English joinery. This permanent position offers above-award wages, dependent on your skillset and experience.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Work with a team that values traditional craftsmanship and applies it to the conservation and energy efficiency of existing wooden windows. This is a chance to do meaningful, high-quality work on heritage and character homes.

THE ROLE

To work on team(s) and undertake duties to achieve outcomes as required by the business. We work on small domestic sites that readily change.

We’re particularly looking for candidates with experience in:

Handcrafting components such as sash stiles, rails, horns, and pulley systems using both traditional and modern methods

Constructing and assembling sashes and frames using mortise and tenon joints and precise glazing rebates

General wood rot repairs, sash overhauls, draught/acoustic sealing, and heritage glazing

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

Adhere to Sealasash policies and procedures.

Follow the directions of management

Carry out daily work activities in an efficient, safe and environmentally compliant manner.

Uphold and encourage Sealasash Values at all times and maintain a high standard of work in accordance with Sealasash policies and procedures.

Follow all safety procedures including reporting safety issues.

Be professional and courteous at all times.

Ensure that the van(s) is stocked, tidy and clean.

Show initiative and be willing to learn new skills and apply them to work.

Attend training and development where required.

Share new ideas and innovation.

Maintain a positive attitude and be open with communication.

Maintain Sealasash confidentiality at all times.

Tasks - draught/acoustic sealing, wood rot repairs, machining, glazing, overhauling windows and doors.

At times some travel will be required and allowances apply.

MUST have a manual vehicle license.
