About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Full-Time Chef to join our dynamic team at the Heritage Hotel in Rockhampton, Queensland. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our guests while upholding the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes from our diverse menu, using fresh, high-quality ingredients
• Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure efficient meal preparation and service
• Maintaining strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations
• Assisting in menu development and implementing new recipes to keep our offerings fresh and innovative
• Effectively managing kitchen operations and staff during shifts
• Providing exceptional customer service and responding to guest requests and dietary requirements

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role
• Formal qualifications in Hospitality or Culinary Arts, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation and plating techniques
• Excellent time management and multitasking skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and also work independently
• Passion for creating delicious, high-quality meals and a commitment to exceptional customer service
