About the Role

Join the Midas Kippa-Ring team as our newest Light Vehicle Mechanic! In this full-time position, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a variety of cars, utes and light commercial vehicles. Our well-equipped workshop and friendly staff ensure you have everything you need to perform high-quality work every day. This role offers a stable, Monday-to-Friday schedule (7:30am–4:30pm) with no weekend work, perfect for a great work–life balance.

Key responsibilities include:

Perform routine servicing (oil changes, brake checks, tyre rotations, etc.) and inspections on light vehicles.

Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and your expertise.

Carry out repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, steering and suspension, exhaust systems and other components.

Replace and fit tyres, batteries and filters, ensuring vehicles meet safety standards.

Complete accurate service and repair documentation and maintain our high standards of customer service.

Work with a supportive team to ensure smooth workshop operations and timely vehicle turnaround.

What You Bring

Relevant trade qualifications: Certificate III (or higher) in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or similar.

Proven experience as an automotive mechanic servicing light vehicles; confident in diagnosing and repairing a range of mechanical issues.

Strong mechanical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.

Excellent communication skills and a team-player attitude; you'll work closely with colleagues and interact politely with customers.

A commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship, following OHS guidelines and company standards.

A valid Australian driver’s licence (manual licence highly regarded) and reliable transport to our Kippa-Ring workshop.
