Based in the Adelaide Hills, Ambleside Landscapes is a trusted leader in Landscaping with over 20 years within the industry. Specialising in landscape projects from initial design, through to construction and maintenance, we are a dynamic, growing company delivering a diverse range of Residential and Commercial Projects throughout the Hills and Metropolitan Adelaide.

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented and experienced Landscape Estimator to join our team in a permanent part-time role. Based in Hahndorf, this role is ideal for someone with experience in Landscaping, who thrives on accuracy, organisation and collaboration.

Position Overview
As a Landscape Estimator, you will work closely with our Operations Manager to prepare well-documented quotes that reflect the full project scope. You will play a critical role in ensuring quotes include full material, labour, and subcontractor breakdowns which then can be communicated to the Construction Teams completing the projects.

This role is primarily office based, with the Operations Manager conducting initial client meetings and presenting the information to the Estimator to prepare the quotes.
After training & probation this can be a hybrid role with time in the office, on site and working from home.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare comprehensive and accurate estimates and quotes utilising Job Software (Tradify) within set timeframes, communicating progress with clients as required

Create BOQs and take-offs from supplied plans (utilising software like Affinity or similar)

Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain and negotiate quotes

Maintain quote documents, templates and tools (within Tradify, and Microsoft Suite)

Actively seek out tender opportunities through local Council, Builders and other organizations, maintaining registration and up to date profile on key tender sites, including VendorPanel.

With the admin team, assisting with processing accepted quotes including creating documentation, project schedules and assisting with internal handovers to the construction team

With the admin team, assist with Project Administration as required, including ordering materials & coordinating deliveries, quoting for variation works, liasing with subcontractors and suppliers

Utilise AI and other technologies to streamline Quoting and Project processes and systems

Ensuring all quotes and records meet company standards and KPIs

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar estimating or project administration role within the landscaping or construction industries
OR minimum 5 years’ experience as a Landscape Foreman or Project Manager

Strong knowledge of interpreting plans, landscaping techniques and materials.

Proficiency with utilising quoting tools (Tradify or similar), Microsoft Office, and take-off software (Affinity)

Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

Strong organisational, time management and communication skills.
