About the role

We are seeking an experienced Spray Painter to join our dynamic and highly skilled team at West Gippsland smash repairs in Drouin, VIC. As a Spray Painter, you will play a crucial role in restoring vehicles to their original condition, showcasing your expertise in automotive paint application and finishing. What you'll be doing

Carefully prepare vehicle surfaces for painting, including sanding, priming, and masking

Mix and apply automotive paints, ensuring a seamless and uniform finish

Perform colour matching to achieve an exact colour match with the vehicle's original paint

Operate and maintain spray painting equipment to the highest standards

Collaborate with the team to coordinate the efficient completion of repair jobs

Ensure all work meets industry standards and safety regulations

Maintain a clean and organised work environment

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Spray Painter in the automotive industry

Strong technical skills in automotive painting, including knowledge of paint mixing, spraying techniques, and colour matching

Proficiency in the use of spray painting equipment and related tools

Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work

Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions

Strong work ethic and a positive, customer-focused attitude

Valid driver's licence and own reliable transportation
