Financial Accountant

General Division Level 5/6, up to $132,753 gross per annum + super + benefits

About the role

Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer, this challenging role is responsible for all external financial reporting requirements to meet statutory and compliance obligations, developing best practice financial accounting policies and procedures, and supervising the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.

About you

The ideal candidate will have a strong financial accounting background and demonstrated previous experience in the delivery of customer focused financial accounting services. Previous experience should include the preparation of monthly financial statements and statutory annual financial accounts, together with well-developed problem solving and analytical skills and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. A tertiary qualification in accounting or business related discipline and full membership of, or progression towards full membership of, a nationally recognised professional accounting body will be highly regarded, however is not essential for appointment.
