The Society of Saint Hilarion Inc Aged Care is a not for profit organisation providing Residential Aged Care services across two sites and Community programs. We are currently seeking Catering Assistants on a permanent basis across our two sites, Fulham and Seaton.

About the Role:

The Catering Services Assistant delivers a high-quality food service that ensures Client satisfaction and positive experience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Assist in preparing quality food options in accordance with agreed menu.

Plate and serve food to Clients in accordance with dietary requirements and to ensure a quality food service experience.

Obtain and arrange food equipment, venue, utensils and food supplies for use in preparing, cooking and serving meals.

Understand and respond to special dietary needs and prepares a range of beverages.

Understand and applies the Aged Care Quality Standards 2019.

The Key Candidate:

Will have experience in a similar role/s in either Aged Care or Hotel Services (desirable) with a demonstrated ability to consistently apply initiative, knowledge and skill to a high level

Have flexibility around various shift patterns, including days, afternoons and weekends

Have a friendly and positive attitude that delivers harmonious relationships with staff, residents and families. (Good Customer service)

Knowledge of Food Safety, allergy management and Modified Diets (Catering)

Have sound and effective spoken and written communication skills in English.

Café and Barista experience is desirable.

Candidates whom speak a second language desirable (Italian or Greek highly desirable) - please include this in your resume.

Valid National Police Check

Proof of the right to work lawfully in Australia;

100 points of ID ( Driver's license, Passport, Birth certificate)

14:00 - 19:00 (Friday)

15:30 - 19:00 (Monday, Friday)

16:00 - 19:00 (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)

Week 2:

14:00 - 19:00 (Thursday, Friday)

15:30 - 19:00 (Thursday, Friday)

16:00 - 19:00 (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)

10:00 - 14:00 (Saturday)
