About the role

Bespoke Marine Trimming & Upholstery is seeking a full-time Trade Assistant/Marine Trimmer to join our custom textile manufacturing team in Townsville, Queensland. In this hands-on role, you will work closely with our experienced trimmers and upholsterers to support the production of high-quality marine furnishings and accessories.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting with the cutting, sewing, and installation of custom marine textiles such as upholstery, bimini tops, and enclosures
• Preparing materials and work areas to ensure efficient and organised production
• Operating industrial sewing machines and other textile manufacturing equipment
• Carefully following production plans and specifications to meet quality standards
• Collaborating with the team to troubleshoot issues and identify process improvements
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a trades or manufacturing role, ideally within the marine or automotive industries
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Knowledge of textile materials, sewing techniques, and upholstery methods
• Excellent problem-solving and collaborative skills
