Apprentice:

You’re someone who’s hands-on, eager to learn, and ready to build a solid career in the electrical industry. Whether you’re just starting out or already a few years into your apprenticeship, you take pride in your work and show up with a great attitude. You’re not afraid to get stuck in, ask questions, and grow your skills across a variety of electrical disciplines.

Tradesman:

You’re a fully qualified electrician with strong technical skills, solid experience on the tools, and a reputation for getting the job done right. You take pride in your craftsmanship, work efficiently without cutting corners, and understand the importance of clear communication on-site. You’re confident working independently but also enjoy being part of a team that operates like a tight-knit crew.

The role

As an Electrical Apprentice (1st to 4th Year), you’ll work alongside experienced A-grade electricians and learn hands-on skills across a variety of job sites. From rough-ins and fit-offs to switchboard upgrades and fault-finding, you’ll gain real-world experience while completing your formal training.

As a fully qualified tradesman you’ll be responsible for completing jobs of all sizes — from large-scale projects to service requests — while ensuring all work is properly documented and compliant with relevant standards. Maintaining adequate stock levels in your vehicle for day-to-day tasks is essential, as is taking ownership of your worksite, time management, and client interactions.

Remuneration

Wage is negotiable based on experience, someone with extensive electrical experience would be well placed to negotiate on the upper end of the advertised range.

Note - Advertised wage range based on Fully Qualified Electrician.

Apprentice wages will be based on the applicant’s year level and negotiated based on demonstrated skills or experience.

Minimum requirements

Tradesman - ACT electrical license or NSW license and be able to apply for mutual recognition in ACT.

Construction Induction (White Card) and Asbestos Awareness certificate, Working with Asbestos Containing Materials certificate, Working Safely at Heights training.

Manual drivers license.

Silica Training Certificate

Some after hours work may be required.

Other licenses and certificates i.e. Open Cabler Registration, EWP license would be an advantage.

Tradesman - Vehicle with all expenses paid after completion of probation period.

Uniform provided.
