Our client is based in Pendle Hill and they are a manufacturer of plastic industrial film. They are seeking Machine Operators to join their team on either a day, afternoon or night shift.

• Full time hours on a casual contract with optional over time

• $33.00 - $42.00 per hour plus superannuation

• Opportunity to secure a permanent contract after 6 months

Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and monitor plastic extrusion machines used in the production of industrial builders film.

• Production Monitoring: Continuously monitor the machine to ensure it runs efficiently and meets quality standards. Make adjustments as needed to ensure proper functionality.

• Material Handling: Load and unload raw materials (e.g., plastic pellets, resins) into machinery and ensure consistent supply for production.

• Quality Control: Inspect the finished film product for defects such as tears, thickness inconsistencies, or color issues. Document and report any defects to supervisors.

• Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines, including checking for wear, replacing parts, and lubricating moving parts to maintain smooth operation.

The successful candidate will have:

• Prior and recent experience working in a manufacturing environment

• Experience working within a similar industry (preferred but not essential)

• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic machinery maintenance and repairs

• The ability to take iniative and display a 'can do' attitude

• A positive attitude toward working within a team as well as individually to meet deadlines
