Accountant required for a successful construction company

This successful Australian company has experienced success and growth thanks to ongoing major contracts nationally. There is an opportunity to join the Corporate HO, working in a collaborative team, providing financial support to major projects.

Your new role

Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant and part of the wider finance team that's flat in structure, this role will cover many aspects of accounting. An example of duties include:

• Assist in completing month-end processes and reporting
  
• General ledger journals, accruals and prepayments
  
• Detailed analysis of actual to budget and forecast results
  
• Reconciliations, including bank, project and balance sheet
  
• Preparation of fixed asset schedules
  
• Develop reports using reporting tools
  
• Preparation of BAS, FBT and supporting year-end taxation accounts
  
• Most importantly, your attention to detail and a passion to learn will help your application
  

What you'll need to succeed

• CA or CPA
  
• Experience of working for a sizeable company
  
• Consistent work history as an accountant
  
• Knowledge of month-end process and analysis
  
• Experience of budgeting and forecasting
  
• Have a working knowledge of ERP's will strong excel skills (x-look-ups, index matching etc)
  
• A great positive attitude and a thirst for knowledge
