About The Role

This position involves a combination of general warehouse duties and the spray painting of driveshafts, component parts, and mining parts to a high-quality, professional standard. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, with excellent stamina and physical strength. Responsibilities include picking, packing, and preparing goods for dispatch, as well as maintaining a clean, well-organised warehouse environment. Operating a forklift is also a key requirement of this role.

Role, Tasks & Competencies

SPRAY PAINTER (Driveshafts, Automotive and Mining Parts)

Key Responsibilities:

Surface Preparation: Cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming surfaces to ensure optimal paint adhesion.

Painting: Applying paints using spray painting equipment.

Paint Mixing: Mixing paints to the correct ratios, ensuring consistency and quality.

Maintenance: Keeping the paint booth and equipment clean and in safe working condition.

Collaboration: Working closely with the workshop team to meet project timelines and ensure quality standards are met.

Skills & Qualifications:

Experience: Knowledge of various painting techniques and tools an advantage.

Physical Stamina: Capability to work in physically demanding environments, including standing for extended periods and handling heavy equipment.

Safety Awareness: Understanding of safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to handle hazardous materials safely.

Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality finishes and adherence to specifications.

STORE PERSON

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately pick, pack, and dispatch customer orders within required timeframes.

Ship goods using customer-specified shipping methods.

Conduct pick-up and delivery of goods to customers as required.

Support the workshop team with the preparation and completion of goods for dispatch.

Pick up and return goods from suppliers as needed.

Receipt, label, and store incoming goods in the warehouse.

Participate in periodic stocktakes and inventory control activities.

Follow procedures for reporting and recording damaged products.

Load and unload goods by hand or with a forklift, as required.

Operate parts picker equipment when necessary.

Perform general administrative duties as needed.

Adhere to all Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) policies and procedures.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.

Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.

Skills & Qualifications:

Prior experience in a Store Person or similar warehouse role.

Strong work ethic with a history of reliable attendance.

Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service—written, verbal, and face-to-face.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to read, understand, and complete workplace documentation.

Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry.

Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills, with a constructive and respectful approach.

Effective time management and the ability to meet deadlines without compromising safety.

Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.

A proactive, can-do attitude with a conscientious approach to responsibilities.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and “think on your feet.”

Professional and tidy personal presentation.

Valid LF High-Risk Work Licence (Forklift).

Current Driver’s Licence with reliable transport.

Experience in the automotive industry and familiarity with automotive parts is advantageous.
