About the Role
The position involves working in a discipline specific role, with some case management work. Coordinating and providing therapeutic and activity based group work, is central to the role.
- Plan, implement and evaluate group programs at the CCU.
- Provide high quality occupational therapy assessments and intervention.
- Contribute effectively in clinical review processes and team activities .
Classifications for this position will range from Occupational Therapist Grade 2 YB20 - YB23 ( $88,030 - $101,19720 per annum pro rata)
Your Contribution
- Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Registration with AHPRA
- The successful applicant must have a minimum of 18 months post qualification clinical experience within Mental Health Services.
- A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain

About Footbridge CCU
Footbridge Community Care Unit (CCU), through a multidisciplinary team approach, provides ongoing specialist treatment and support to meet the identified needs of consumers who suffer with a serious mental illness and associated high level of psycho-social complexities.
Footbridge CCU is a 20 bed service which operates under a framework for recovery orientated practice, utilising the strengths model. It is a 24 hour residential mental health service.
We support individuals with their recovery and rehab needs, help to maximise support services such as NDIS packages, and support complex discharge planning for consumers.

About the Role
Under the guidance and support of the Multidisciplinary Team, you will deliver exceptional clinical treatment and support to individuals with a lived experience of mental illness. Managing a case load, your role extends beyond clinical responsibilities to actively cultivate and sustain collaborative partnerships with various internal and external service providers.
- Implement the Strengths Model to empower individuals in their recovery journey, emphasising their capabilities and resilience.
- Foster strong therapeutic alliances with consumers and actively involve them, along with their family/carers/supporters, in comprehensive care planning and evaluation processes.
- Conduct thorough assessments, deliver targeted interventions, and provide treatment for individuals with intricate mental health needs, aligning practices with local policies and strategic directions.
Classifications for this position will range from
- RPN Grade 3 NP81 - NP74 ($100,932 - $112,091 per annum)
- OT/SW Grade 2 YB20 - YB23 or YC42 - YC45 ($88,030 - $101,19720 per annum)
- Psychologist Grade 2 PK1 - PK4 ($92,627 - $104,811 per annum)
Your Contribution
- Clinical experience within Mental Health Services
- Experience in the provision of assessment, discipline specific intervention and case management services for people with serious mental illness and complex needs and their carers
- Demonstrated ability in working as part of the multi-disciplinary clinical team in promoting a standard of excellence in clinical practice. This includes contributing to team clinical processes such as Clinical Review and supervision for staff and students
- A comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2022.
- A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain

The Continuing Care Team provides specialised treatment and ongoing support throughout the week during business hours. Employing the Strengths Model of Recovery-Oriented Practice, the multidisciplinary team delivers tailored clinical and therapeutic interventions to meet the specific needs of consumers with a lived experience of mental illness.
