Are you an experienced Business Services Accountant who thrives in a close-knit, stable, and supportive team? This well-established Canberra firm offers a flat structure, diverse client base, and the opportunity to manage clients from start to finish.

The Opportunity Join a respected local accounting firm that’s been operating in Canberra for over 30 years. With a strong reputation and long-standing client relationships, they provide a mix of compliance (80%) and advisory (20%) services across a broad range of industries and entity types.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, values autonomy, and is ready to take ownership of their own client portfolio.

Key Details

• Tax & Business Services focus
  
  
• Work closely with 3 Directors and a team of 13 Accountants
  
  
• Clients range from sole traders through to $100M+ turnover companies
  
  
• Over 3,500 clients across various industries, including complex family groups
  
  
• Client contact from start to finish is expected and encouraged
  
  
• Cloud-based firm using Xero
  
  
• Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm, with some flexibility to WFH occasionally
  
  
• Flat team structure with excellent staff retention
  
  

What They’re Looking For

• 3+ years experience in public practice
  
  
• Experience managing a variety of clients and preparing tax returns, BAS, and financials
  
  
• Strong communication skills and ability to build client relationships
  
  
• Ideally CA qualified (or working towards), but open to CPA or qualified by experience
