About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Paediatric Rehabilitation team as a Casual Physiotherapist, where you will be responsible for:
- Implementing and evaluating high quality, evidence-based physiotherapy services for children and young people with acquired brain injury, spinal pathology, cerebral palsy, and complex rehabilitation needs
- Delivering services across inpatient, outpatient, and outreach settings
- Supporting and promoting effective teamwork within the Paediatric Rehabilitation team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Ensuring a seamless continuum of care for clients transitioning into the community
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
- Ability to ensure the provision and promotion of high quality, efficient and effective Physiotherapy services to children and young people with acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy and other complex rehabilitation needs,
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with patients and families towards patient-led goals
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Demonstrated experience in Physiotherapy management of paediatric patients with rehabilitation needs
- Experience working in an acute hospital setting and working with children, adolescents and their caregivers in a health and/or community setting
