The role supports the Assistant Director, Policy, Programs and Planning to lead and oversee strategic policy, planning and delivery of complex and/or innovative BBV/STI interventions and works collaboratively and proactively with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver on strategic commitments and support best practice local implementation of policies and programs.
Role fit
The essential requirements for this role are:
- Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of the contemporary healthcare environment and the ability to apply a high level of knowledge, expertise, and skills to address BBV/STI issues in this environment.
- Demonstrated ability to provide specialised level of knowledge, analysis, expertise, and skills to the development of systemic and effective statewide solutions to complex BBV/STI policy challenges.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, communication, consultation and negotiation skills and ability to foster positive team environments and high functioning stakeholder relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic change through shaping policy reforms, driving innovation and enabling quality improvement.
- Demonstrated flexibility in approach to work and working environment and willingness to participate in cross program initiatives.
